In Bulgaria we have different kinds of rakia drink.One of them is Anise rakia or in bulgarian language Anasonliika.This kind of rakia is double distilled and very hard alcohol content around 50 alcohol degrees.The main regions that produce this kind of rakia are Karlovo and Sopot.Anise rakia is prepared from classical marc (in bulgarian djibri) after first distillation add to the rakia aniseeds and the rakia and distile for second time.After this leave the anise rakia around 65 alcohol degrees and leave in a big open barrel for a mount.Anise rakia should mature min. for one year to become smooth and light to drink.
